Waiting for the iPhone 6s

On 26 September Apple will release the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus and like everyone else we are very excited about it at Power Support. In addition to the iPhone 6s Apple will soon come out with the iPad mini 4 and a new iPad Pro. Everyone is asking if our film and Air Jackets will be compatible with the new iPhone 6s and the best we can say right now is “probably.” I know that is not a great answer and we’ve taken a lot of flak in the past for not having our products ready for delivery on the day Apple launched their products, (see our blog on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6Plus release) but this is the best we can do right now.

People will point out to us that Apple publishes their specs right on their website: Tech Specs iPhone 6s. These specs are meant for the general public and not for design engineers. If one button is 0.4 mm to the left or the lightning connector port is 0.2 mm larger this will have an extreme impact on the integrity of our design. As we mentioned before Apple is EXTREMELY secretive about any new products. Details are closely guarded and even though early photos and videos may be available they are rarely accurate. Apple will only release detailed specifications when the actual product is released. Rumors, “leaked” specifications and speculation about the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been circulating for months. This information is never accurate, precise or reliable. Many manufacturers, in an effort to have product available on the launch date will fabricate Apple accessories based on these rumors and speculations. By cutting corners and guess work they sell products that may sort of “fit” the device with no concern for accurate fit or protection. For example, many cases may feature large cut outs in order to accommodate any button or camera configuration.

This is not the way Power Support conducts business

We respect Apple’s right to privacy and we are committed to their high standards of quality and design.

This is why Power Support has always vowed:

  • Not to design a product until we actually have the device
  • To use accurate measurements and specifications
  • To only make products that meet our demanding specifications and commitment to perfection.
  • And most importantly, to only make an accessory that will stand up to our stiffest critics-our customers.

We guarantee that on 26 September Power Support engineers will secure several devices and begin tests to ensure our products will absolutely, beautifully and perfectly fit your new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. If our current products are compatible with the 6s we will immediately let you know and make those products available in Apple stores and our website. We understand your desire to immediately protect your new iPhone but until Apple decides to share designs and specifications prior to launch we will respect their desire for confidentiality. This is our commitment to Apple.

Our commitment to you, our customers, is to get you beautiful, perfectly designed and crafted products as soon as possible.Thank you for your understanding and patience.
